Raid Things to Know

Mods
Silent Strike does not require players to have mods. There is only one exception and that is Deadly Boss Mods for progression raiding. It is, however, highly recommended for casual raiders to have it as well.

Command-line Actions
There are only a few command-line options that need to be explained.

/roll – This command is use to roll for loot. Using the mod-based looting system, all you have to do is type /roll 200 which rolls a number between 1 and 200.

/range x – We sometimes need to know who is within x yards of your character for raiding purposes. This command-line will bring up Deadly Boss Mod’s range window.

/focus – The focus frame is basically like a second target. To use this, simply target who/what you want to have the focus on, and type /focus. For example, a healer could be targeting the tank to heal, but set the focus on the boss. This way the healer can also easily monitor the boss kill progress. You can also make custom macros to use your skills on your focus target instead of your normal target.

/rw – This is the Raid Warning chat channel. This will pop up the text in the middle of the screen instead of in the chat log. Only the raid leader and anyone set as Raid Assist can use the raid warning command.

If you need any help or more info regarding command-line options, ask the raid leaders or in guild chat. Most likely someone will know.

Raid Chat
The raid chat channel is the equivalent to party chat, but for the entire raid. To say something in raid chat, start with /ra. Raid chat can be freely used by all raid members for questions, comments, and even casual banter. We do ask that we keep big off-topic conversations to a minimum in order to keep the channel clear for raid instructions or questions.

Voice Chat
For progression raids ability to at least hear voice chat is required. We use the built-in voice chat system so there is no extra software to download or configure. It is also highly recommended to be able to hear for casual raids as well. We expect you to be able to hear voice by default. If you have specific reasons why you cannot for a casual raid, please let the raid leader know.

For the most part all our current raid leaders have voice ability, however if there comes a time where others are leading raids it is highly recommended for the raid leader to have voice ability to provide instant instructions for your raid.

Voice chat should be mostly reserved for raid instructions and questions. Things get silly from time to time over voice, and that’s OK. It’s all part of having fun as long as we don’t lose sight of the task at hand.
