Loot Rules
The looting rules are the same for both casual and progression raiding. There are two possible looting methods, Mod-based, and default.
Default Looting
Default looting is similar to the 5-man rules. Generally we set the item rolling for blues and epics only. Greens you simply keep if you loot them, there is no rolling for greens. For blues and epics, roll Greed or Greed for Disenchant (if available). If you need and will use the item (for main or off spec), roll Need.
Mod Based Looting
Mod-based looting is a bit different. We currently use a mod called Loothog to assist in raid loot rolls. The mod system has two phases, the Main-Spec roll, and the Off-Spec roll. The system will prompt you to roll 200 if you need for your main spec. At this point, if you need the item for your main spec, type /roll 200 on the command-line. If you do not need the item, say pass in raid chat to hurry along the process, otherwise we have to wait for the roll timer. If there were rolls for this phase, the system automatically displays the roll results, and says who wins the item. The master looter will then distribute the item to that person.
If everyone passes for the first (main spec) phase, the second phase (off spec) begins with the same rules at first phase. Roll for the item if you need it for your off spec, otherwise say pass. If everyone passes on both phases, the item will either be disenchanted and the crystal rolled upon later, or it will be picked up and vendored for guild bank gold.
