Raider Handbook

Raiding is the focus of much of the end-game content for players at the level cap. For Silent Strike, we only tackle 10-man raids. We don’t currently have enough members to pursue 25-man raids. We are NOT a “raiding guild” but, we have two separate raid types; progression raiding, and casual raiding. Progression raiding has specific gear requirements and progression raiders are subject to scrutiny for gear, dps, and general skills. Casual raiding is for everyone. We try to do a little bit of both to please the various member preferences.
General Requirements
Raiders are required to be level 80, unless we are doing a classic raid that supports sub-80 characters.

Deadly Boss Mods is a mod that is highly recommended for casual raiders, and required for progression raiders. This mod creates timers for important boss events as well as warns you of things you might not notice, “Hey! You’re standing in the poison cloud!” Here’s the download link: Deadly Boss Mods

Generally raids, both casual and progression, take quite a bit of time, at minimum an hour or more, and usually upwards of 2.5-3 hours. If you aren’t sure you will be on long enough to complete the raid, talk to the raid leader. If you know you won’t be there the whole time, consider not signing up and letting someone else go that would enjoy the entire duration of the raid.

Try to be present in game 10 minutes or so prior to the official raid start time. The raid group usually starts forming 10 minutes prior. If you are late to the raid, you may find your spot has been given to someone that has been waiting as a backup. Raids will be canceled if we do not have the required number of raiders of the right classes present at the posted raid start time.
