Rank Management & Account Security – WoW Only

Due to the extensive number of hacked accounts in the recent years, we have instituted a security policy based on member activity. We are not trying to get rid of anyone, any demotions due to absence, your previous rank can and will be restored as soon as you come back from your absence. These are not disciplinary demotions, they are security demotions. We must keep our guild bank safe as possible.

For Non-Officers

• Characters that have not been played for over 1 month or more get demoted to Inactive, regardless of whether the main is still playing.
• Characters that have not been played for over 1 year get removed from the guild, regardless of whether the main is still playing.

For Officers

• Characters that have not been played for over 1 year get removed from the guild, regardless of whether the main is still playing.
• Main Character officers absent for more than 1 month get demoted to Inactive along with all their corresponding Guardian rank alts if the player does not have a Blizzard Authenticator.
• Guardian rank characters of active officers that are absent for more than 1 month get demoted to Inactive if the player does not own the Blizzard Authenticator.
• Officers that own the Blizzard Authenticator only have to be concerned with the 1 year removal limit.

Note the special cases for Officers based on Blizzard Authenticator. It is highly recommended that all our officers have one, due to the vulnerability of the guild bank for officers. We also recommend Authenticators for all guild members. It costs $6.50 and while it will not make your account completely secure, it adds one more barrier to entry to the “hackers” out there. Currently an Authenticator is not required for Officers, but that rule is subject to change.
