Our new member forums operate a little differently than some forums you may have used and so they merit a little explanation with regards to the login process in particular.
First of all, you should be a member on the main website. This will allow you to use the Chat Wall and participate in polls among other things. It is simple to create an account and once you do, you can set it to remember you so you should only have to re-login every few weeks.
|If you are logged in to the main website, when you click the Forum link (or one of the latest forum posts) you will be redirected to the Forum page and see something like this. Just click your name and you should see a pop-up box that shows it’s connecting and then you will be logged into the forums.|
|If you are not logged in to the main site, you can still go right to the forums but the log in box will look a little different. In this case you would hit the “Sign In with Silent Strike Guild” button which will give you a WordPress login page where you can log in and then be redirected to the Forums.|
The first time you visit the Forums you will probably notice a ton of threads that are marked as having New content. I recommend that when you are done with your first visit, you should hit the Mark All as Read button, so that the next time you go to the forums, you will see only the new threads. While our website home page shows the Latest Posts, it is only showing posts from forums that are publicly visible, not the private Member forums, so it is worthwhile checking the actual forums themselves at least every few days.
Writing posts and replying to them works pretty much like any forum you’ve ever used.
If you find you are having any difficulties, please feel free to tell me in-game or email me at saleny at silent-strike.org.
