As most Rift players know, player weddings have been added to the game with the most recent patch. Trion is making an attempt at the Guinness Book of World Records for the most virtual weddings in a 24 hour period on Valentine’s Day.

Being the happy married couple that we are, Libation and I have decided to take part in the festivities and will be joining our characters in marriage on Tuesday February 14th at 8:30pm EST. We’d love for any and all Silent Strike members and friends to join us. There’s wedding favors and other fun things in game for the guests.

Even if you don’t have an active subscription you can download Rift Lite and join us – Post your character name on the comments on this forum so we can invite you, since trial accounts can’t whisper other characters.

Rift Lite

Trion has introduced an unlimited trial for Rift. It is called Rift Lite and allows new and returning Rift players to play levels 1-20 for free with no time limits.

Rift Shard Consolidation and Patch News

I guess we moved just in time, as players logging into Shadefallen were notified this morning that the server is being turned into a Trial shard and the regular population is required to move (they are suggesting Faeblight) with a deadline of January 18. I’m really enjoying the healthy population on Faeblight and I think the consolidation is a good thing.

In other news, there are some exciting changes coming for Patch 1.7 (currently on the test shard). Consolidation of Expert dungeons into 1 level, gear boosts for new level 50′s, a new Chronicle and other improvements to make the gearing-up process more logical and smoother at level 50.

For those of you still not playing Rift, you can Try Rift For Free from January 19th to 22nd!

Silent Carnage now in SWtOR

Our Imperial guild, Silent Carnage, was formed last night in SWtOR. If you need an invite look for Chamani, Jett’ras’kathar, Saidur or (yes this is his name) Bobafalcon *sigh*. Or just ask any of us on the Republic side and we’ll log over.

Silent Strike now on Faeblight

Silent Strike has moved to the Faeblight server in Rift. This is where new and returning Strikers can find us. Welcome to our new home and have fun!

*UPDATE* – Everyone that has been invited into the guild has had their rank updated so they are able to do guild invites, so you can invite any missing characters (and maybe find us some new friends to play with)

Rift Server Change

Due to the drop in population on Shadefallen, we’ve decided to move the guild to Faeblight. We will be emptying the guild bank and turning off the Tithe guild perk in preparation for the move. I will post here when an official transfer day is set (target date so far is Wednesday Jan. 4). Rift Mobile App

Trion has released and iOS app for Rift. Some of the things you can do with it are:

Chat with friends and guildmates

Full guild support with guild and officer chat

Guild MOTD and Guild Wall

Zone Event notification

Earn in-game loot

The best thing about the app is that it is free. So if you have an iOS device and are still playing Rift then I would say this app is a must have. An active Rift game account is required to use the app.

Trion Worlds Account Database Hacked

Trion Worlds account database was hacked. The account database held the following information including user names, encrypted passwords, dates of birth, email addresses, billing addresses, and the first and last four digits and expiration dates of customer credit cards.
